Verrecchia Group Retained by Kleer Following Successful Product Launch Campaign at CES 2007
Montreal, Quebec, March 19, 2007 – Verrecchia Group Communications announces that California-based Kleer has placed the agency on retainer. This follows the successful completion of a PR campaign developed and executed by Verrecchia Group to launch Kleer’s disruptive wireless audio technology to the U.S. and Canadian wireless, semiconductor and consumer electronics media and analyst communities. Under the new ongoing retainer program, Verrecchia Group will build on the success of the launch campaign to further increase visibility and awareness of the Company’s wireless audio technology—the first such offering to combine high quality audio and robust ISM band coexistence with low power consumption to address portable, home and automotive audio markets.
“I’ve worked with Verrecchia Group in the past, and I knew that when the time came for us to launch our technology, this was the agency for the job,” said Ron Glibbery, VP of Marketing at Kleer. “They’re not only plug-and-play in terms of understanding technology and business, they also bring to every engagement a combination of strategic and tactical skill sets that are supported by in-depth industry experience and well-established media connections.”
The launch campaign developed and executed by Verrecchia Group consisted of a two-prong PR strategy: introduce Kleer and its technology to the media and analyst communities; create ‘buzz’ within the consumer markets by leveraging the blogosphere. Tactically, the agency distributed a series of three targeted press releases between the period of December 4th and January 8th, in conjunction with the booking of media and analyst briefing appointments at CES 2007. The campaign yielded the desired results with over 40 pieces of editorial coverage in U.S. publications and influential web magazines including EE Times, TWICE, Mobile Magazine, Wired, PC Magazine, Forbes, USA Today, Engadget, Gizmodo, in addition to 7 pieces of international editorial coverage, and two broadcast segments during CES 2007.
“We’re very pleased with the results of the Kleer PR launch campaign, and the interest demonstrated by the media, analysts and blogosphere communities has been positive and encouraging,” said Susan Verrecchia, President of Verrecchia Group Communications. “Kleer has a truly disruptive technology that we believe will revolutionize the wireless audio market and set a new standard for battery-powered audio products. They have an outstanding product and we look forward to seeing this technology in consumer end products very shortly.”
