Kate Wild - Account Director

Toronto-based Kate Wild has more than eight years experience in public relations and communications, specializing in strategic development, writing, and media relations for the technology industry. Kate represents Verrecchia Group in the local Toronto market as an Account Director. Her primary functions include building communications plans, organizing press tours, conducting media relations and offering strategic advise and council to Toronto-based Verrecchia Group clients. Kate's recent clients include Sun Microsystems, Lipstream Networks, Storymail, Movaris, Resonate and Emeris Technologies.

Before joining Verrecchia Group as an Account Director, Kate worked for a Communications agency where she lead her account teams in rolling out successful communications programs for a range of North American clients including Sun Microsystems, NEC Technologies, NEC AFIS, Gateway Telecom, Lucent Technologies Canada, MetroNet Communications, SurfMap, Toronto Telecommunications Alliance and many others.

Prior to her agency experience, Kate worked at Mitel Corporation, where she played a key role in all aspects of the company's public and community relations. In particular, Kate was the editor of the company's newsletter and was responsible for overseeing the corporate sponsorship program. While at Mitel, Kate was nominated for the REDO (Regional Economic Diversification Organization) Achievement Award for outstanding achievement in the private sector.

In 1994, Kate worked for Human Resources Development Canada in the Minister's Speech Coordination Unit, where she assisted speech writers in researching and writing speaking notes for Government officials, including Minister Lloyd Axworthy.

With her strong strategic sense and understanding of the technology industry, Kate assists Verrecchia Group by leveraging relationships across a range of technology sectors to raise awareness for our clients in industry-specific and business press.
